Our Big Announcement - What are we doing?
Conversation Clothing is a retail brand that we created in tandem with The Asian Conversation (TAC). The three co-founders of TAC came together to develop an idea that will contribute to creating impactful action towards being part of a solution. Combining our passions for fashion and fostering more "conversations" around the unsaid struggles of Asian Canadians, Conversation Clothing was born. All of the goods we produce as a team will contribute towards meaningful change. Conversation Clothing is dedicated to furthering TAC's goals of empowering minority voices and creating community-hood through dedicating 10% of our profits to the Asian Solidarity Fund.
Mission & Impact - Why are we doing this?
Collective Purpose
Our collective purpose and goals are to continue to bring awareness to the ongoing issues Asian Canadians face and offer an opportunity for others to show their support for the movement. Although we believe that knowledge and educating others is powerful, we think that without meaningful action, nothing will significantly change.
Our Individual Purposes
Here are some thoughts and feelings from the co-founders that led them to start Conversation Clothing.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth's go-to closet item is a hoodie. Regardless of the weather or occasion, hoodies allow her to feel safe and comfortable throughout her day. What does she wear when cramming for an exam? Hoodie. What about going to the gym? Hoodie. And hangin' out with friends? Hoodie. She is so excited to be launching Conversation Clothing alongside Hanna and Jana and combining her love for hoodies and The Asian Conversation.
Hanna
Hanna wakes up every day and attempts to put together a nice outfit but always ends up in sweats. As someone who loves to be comfortable and cozy, hoodies will always satisfy her wants and needs. Launching Conversation Clothing with Elizabeth and Jana is an opportunity to combine her passion for comfort and empowering Asians. She can't wait for you to also participate in the conversation in both warmth and style!
Jana
Jana is super excited to be launching Conversation Clothing with her co-founders Hanna and Elizabeth! She loves fashion but always prioritizes comfort. Hoodies and sweats are by far her most used clothing pieces. She's so happy to help release this brand that offers comfort along with positive conversations!
Charity Collaboration - The Asian Solidarity Fund
The Asian Solidarity Fund by Unite for Change includes more than 20 registered charities that support Asian Canadians. Their mission is to support programs across Canada that provide critical services, preserve Asian culture and heritage, and celebrate the many contributions of Asian Canadians.
We chose to partner with the Asian Solidarity Fund because we strongly believe in its mission and values. The Asian Conversation's purpose of empowering Asian Canadians directly aligns with the Asian Solidarity Fund and its associated charities. By supporting this fund, we contribute to fighting against Asian racism, preserving Asian history and culture, and celebrating Asian Canadian success.

As a brand, we believe that our products will encourage others to support the Asian Canadian community and contribute to being part of the solution. By purchasing our merchandise, buyers will be able to take direct action while staying comfortable and promoting our brand.
Release - When?
Big things are coming in 2022 for The Asian Conversation, and our predicted release of these products for purchasing will be in the early months of next year! Feel free to check out our link to our Shopify and subscribe to our email list to be the first to know when they release.
Products & Details
Our merchandise selection process was a long one as we wanted to ensure that we were creating quality products for consumers. We originally came up with 10+ designs for stickers, hoodies, and tote bags (stay tuned for the future!) but realized that we should stick with 3
Our first release of Conversation Clothing involves three hoodies. These hoodies are perfect for day-to-day activities or to wear while lounging at home in maximum comfort. These pieces include a large front pocket to carry all your daily necessities, as well as an adjustable hood.
We are currently offering four different sizes: small to extra-large. However, we plan to expand the sizing range for prospective merchandise in the future. The content of the hoodies is a soft blend of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. They are mid-weight, pre-shrunk, pill-resistant fleece that can be machine washed.
Below are the three hoodies released in early 2022: the Blueberry Hoodie, Chocolate Hoodie, and Marshmallow Hoodie.
